How is he doing today, 1 year later?

We have noticed improvements in our kids (even with our detox period), but we have been vigilant about no exceptions on consumed items. My son was the toughest as he has taste issues and it took about 2 weeks to convert him to a Feingold approved toothpaste. He fusses every time, but at least he is now Feingold approved.

I feel really bummed for you and hope that you were able to find some resolution to his behavioral issues.

I have heard about gluten being a problem and am considering testing for one of my kids. But we are only 3 weeks in and I'd like to see if she improves more than she has.

It is over a year past this post.

But I just wanted to share that there is a detox period for Feingold. We are almost ending our 3rd week and we had a slip in behavior towards the end of week 2, which times with this post along your journey. I recall reading that this would happen and have the anecdote of a friend who knew another family who put all of her children on the Feingold diet. Same thing happened.

Looking forward to reading the rest of your posts.

Well, these toys are for play therapy, which is typically a scheduled event - not conducive to quick travel. If you have to take a trip and have to do your special playtime "on the road," then I'd just suggest taking some small things from each category. For example, doctor kit, toy phones, bottle, cars, dart gun, rope, toy soldiers, mask, play-doh, crayons, paper, scissors, soft ball, balloon. Alternately, if you've been doing special playtime long enough, you could simply choose a selection of toys your child chooses most often.

What would you suggest be placed in a portable play kit, which calls for quick travel and limited space?

Now they are questioning our 2003 adoption credit! Eight years ago! We sent in the court paperwork way back then, and have been gradually working off the credit against our taxes over the years.
Can they really ask us to produce eight year old receipts?
It does not take brain surgery to figure out that a trip to China for 3 there and 4 on the way back might cost more than the credit. The lowest cost of anyone on our trip was $16.5k, some people spent over $25K if they upgraded their rooms, planes, or food.
